Not too bad at all, Jnevel, as Yandow surrenders only a free pass(who could blame him?) to Gunner in the 7th. Let’s get a titch of insurance in the bottom half of this inning just for good measure….shall we.
Arenado didn’t look as if he was hoofing it 100% up the line on that ground out……maybe 80%…..nice play by Gunner once again. These two teams have the best 2 young SS’s in the game. If you had to pick one of the two right now, you would undoubtedly select Gunner…….but that could change down the road…..we won’t be needing a new SS for quite awhile Cardinal fans…..matter of fact, unfortunately I could be 6 feet under by the time we’ll be seeking another young SS…..kind of a depressing thought…..what would you guys do without having me to kick around?
He gets through it. It wasn’t 100% pretty as a couple pitches were pretty off. But the end result it 2 scoreless for King and 2 scoreless for Leahy.
After pitching a nice 7th, Yandow comes right back with another nice frame in the 8th…….must be Kitty’s wonderful influence on the young man.
Who gets the 9th? Fernandez? Loutos? Helsley? Or JoJo? I don’t think it’s Robertson and it’s not Kitty.
You know, even though the Orioles are going to be swept in this series, there is still a silver lining for them if they carefully watched how this upstart Cardinal team goes about it’s business. Call this a valuable learning experience for this young Oriole squad.
I’m not entirely certain, but I’m pretty sure if the Cardinals win this game, DD will be 3-0 in games in which the Cardinal manager has been ejected.
Yes, a close game without JoJo, Helsley or Kitty would usually spell doom for St. Louis. Plus we’re 3-13 in games that Fernandez has appeared this year. Kind of scary.

I just did my best to look it up and one of the games in which the Cardinal manager was tossed also saw the ejection of Descalso, so my memory is wrong, Pugs.
