He’s done a pretty nice job since taking over when Girardi was fired.

    Edit…I just looked him up and in 315 games as a Big League manager, Thomson’s 53 games over .500 for a .584 W/L pct. Them’s nice apples…

    I second that.

He’s also 19-11 in the post-season, but that don’t count for too much unless you put a W up on the board in the last game of the season. Especially in Philly.

    I’ll guess they’re a top5 budget. Top 3?

And batting 5th makes an immediate appearance w/risp. Hat-tip bling.

I still don’t understand the reasoning behind sitting Herrera.

Running the bases hard pays off.

It is always exciting to see a guy get his first big league hit

Baseball is fun and winning is more fun than losing.

I’m not a believer yet – they gotta get up over .500 but for tonight 5-0 with Gray on the mound – a good time for sure.

Gray needs to stop throwing pitches right down the middle. He’s getting burned nearly every time.

    5-4 Cards after O’Hoppe homer.

Yeah it looks like Gray lost his command that inning. At least we get out with a lead in tact still, but it would be nice to have a big comfortable lead to avoid using our leverage RP

Let’s hope the Angels bullpen implodes like it did last night.

I’m glad Siani gets credit for a basehit, but I’m not sure how that wasn’t an error

Atta boy Burly! He really needs to hit for some power to justify that DH role.

Looking closer at Burly’s hit locations, he is almost split evenly on pull, center, and oppo. With more emphasis on pulling the ball ala Arenado of the past style, he probably would be hitting more homers and being a better overall hitter. He still should take advantage of going oppo at times to get a hit to drive runs in when needed, but he will produce more runs for the team hitting for more power.

I thought I was the only one still up watching 1TD. Much less participation when games are on the west coast
