The Nootz scorched that first pitch fastball.

    You can hit Noot anywhere!

If you can’t sweep, this is the best possible scenario.
Win the first game of the series to get ahead. Win the last game of the series to win the series and have momentum going into the next series.

Wow, a nice surprise getting home from work and checking the box score. There is no substitute for a quality start. 2 out of 3 is 2 out of 3 no matter the run differential.

    Like I’ve always said……”Win With Winn!”…..

I guess I can catch the Replay later tonight. I have to go to a meeting on the Mid-States Corridor tonight here at the high school. It’s the new highway that might be built that might displace me.

Goldy with two more hits today. Up to an even .200 now. It may be a coincidence but he looks more comfortable hitting 4th. I never like him hitting 2nd.

The first series finale win of the year for the Cards. Need to get on a winning streak at some point.

Nice comeback “Winn” and finally take a get-away game. Finished up the deck project for the most part – still need to do some cosmetic-type work but got ‘er basically done. Kicking back on the hammock on a 77 degree afternoon. LIG!

(Only thing missing is a cold, frosty one, which I have in the garage fridge but am going to pass for now and doze a little.)

    You’re living the life, BicycleMike.
Speaking of Winn, I thought the official scorer could have awarded Masyn a hit in his last at bat…..that ball was scorched. And toss the GB (that’s “Game Ball” to the layman) where you may. Whether it be in the direction of Gibson, Goldy or Nooty. But I’m flipping the GB to Kitty’s outstretched mitt in recognition for his never-ending river of marvelous performances. This guy gives the opposing teams no hope for success when he’s toeing the St. Louis rubber. I haven’t looked or computed the numbers, but the combined WHIP of Kitty, JoJo and Helsley has to be well south of 1.00…….and we’re not talking about a miniscule sample space here either. Kitty, JoJo & Helsley….is there a better bullpen trio anywhere in MLB? If this club starts clubbing and the starting pitching continues it’s mediocre ways, the division should be all ours.

Pugs, it is a shame that Kitty had to throw 7 pitches today. That may be above his average. He gets outs in a hurry.

Good call w/the GB Pugs, and a Hat-tip to Gibson

I’m taking Mo’s advice and being patient — so patient I’m late to the party, haha. Gotta pay better attention to start times on getaway games. Much needed series win.

Right on, Jnevel & JJ. Teams are finding it near impossible to scratch out hits vs Kitty. Watching Kitty work is worth the price of admission in itself.
Yes, you have been late to this year’s game thread parties, Euro Dandy. You’ve been missed.
