I might just add a footnote here. Both Tyler O’Neil and Marcel Ozuna have both already launched 7 homers each this month. Oh, and Mo gotta go.

Haha!…Yeah, Wagee, I just saw that Marcell also has 7 taters. He also has aout 10 more RBI’s than O’Neill.

Pretty dismal last 2 games. I didn’t see it, but we should’ve could’ve would’ve won last night’s game if not for leaving the bases juiced without scoring with no outs in a tie ballgame….and then having them come right back in the bottom of that inning and scoring 3. That inning greatly tipped the scales in Arizona’s direction for the rest of the series. Need to sweep Oakland to make this a nice 4-2 road trip.

Regarding Goldschmidt’s slow start to the season, he also started 2021 poorly. This is an article I posted on April 28, 2021. “Is Anything Wrong with Paul Goldschmidt?”

In the article, I show his worst months each season back to 2017. There is no pattern.

As you may recall, the year after this article, he won the 2022 MVP.

In 2021 Paul was 33. In 2024 he is 36. Nobody on this board needs to be told the difference between a 33 year old player and a 36 year old player.
