Wow Rat! Just read of your health concern. You’ll be with us for another 23 years, but if the unthinkable were to happen, I would be glad to take care of Whitey HerDog. Have a large fenced in back yard……I’d spoil her rotten for you…….just like she’s used to.
Ha, we love our dogs, don’t we? My 4-legged girl Bonnie left us last October. She was 16 and had a good life, so I won’t complain. Now at 65 I’m wondering along the same lines as Rat if I should get another one. Of course my wife would take care of it, but she’s about the same age as I am. A little pup could very well out-live both of us.
My son had to say goodbye to his 15 year old yellow lab retriever about 4 months ago. He was my only grandchild/doggy-pup for quite some time…His name was “George” after George Herman Ruth and I used to call him Georgy Boy. At any rate, about a month ago my son adopted a chocolate lab retriever from the same bloodline as our beloved George. My son named him, “Hank”…Guess who he named him after?…Haha! I call him Hanky Boy. He’s about 12 weeks old and is a veritable wildman! My little 19 month old baby granddaughter likes to have wrestling matches with him…Haha!
