I wasn’t trying to prove you wrong. I just wanted to check the data. I would have been encouraged if they had done better against winning teams because it would have suggested to me the talent is there but they were less motivated against or underestimated poorer teams.
Instead, their record indicates are what they appear to be – a .500-ish team with less talent than the winning teams.
Though as you suspect, they may be more competitive in their losses more recently. I haven’t checked run differential then vs. now.
I talked things over with somebody who watched the game and the report is Walker looks like exactly the same hitter, he is being pitched exactly the same way, with exactly the same results.
So my question is what was he working on in Memphis? Maybe his defense. Does he look better on defense? Does he run better? He must have been working on something.
Well maybe they have looked better and more competitive against the above .500 clubs. Remember we have some dog spit games this year against a few questionable team like us. Lol
Did Ollie just give up. Sent probably our worse pitcher out in the 9th trailing by only one run and sure enough he made it 3 down. that is just a dumb decision. There had to be someone else available.
