I agree Mike. I’d seen the stance on some clips from him in Memphis, so I knew it was the same as before. I imagine he tried something else earlier while he was there, but he’s back to it now.
August 16, 2024 at 7:58 pm #264530And with Victor, leading off an inning I would like to see him try a bunt at least once in the sequence, especially against a lefty.

jj-cf-stlParticipantI appreciate Miles competing with strikes, but there’s already been a handful of loud outs.
August 16, 2024 at 7:59 pm #264532Winn really turned on that pitch!
August 16, 2024 at 8:00 pm #264533
jj-cf-stlParticipant3-2 StL
August 16, 2024 at 8:02 pm #264534Betts seems to be struggling a bit in right. Maybe he will misplay one in this game and hand us a win.
August 16, 2024 at 8:04 pm #264535It seems like Scott hits it in the air a lot. Fly out, line out. It used to be little speedy guys were taught to hit it on the ground. I doubt they have that in their bag of tricks any more.
August 16, 2024 at 8:07 pm #264536
jj-cf-stlParticipantLike Winn would be ideal.
August 16, 2024 at 8:21 pm #264537This is the danger zone for Mikolas.
August 16, 2024 at 8:26 pm #264538Wow, Pages really mashed that pitch!! Best ball I have seen him hit, although I have not seen ‘em all.
August 16, 2024 at 8:27 pm #264539My goodness…Pages really unloaded on that hanger.
August 16, 2024 at 8:29 pm #264540
jj-cf-stlParticipantPages muscles up with solo shot.
4-2 StL after 5August 16, 2024 at 8:30 pm #264541Pedro Pages hitting the longest HR at Busch this year says so much about the 2024 #stlcards, doesn't it?

August 16, 2024 at 8:42 pm #264542Merlin Olsen is another one that was a great professional athlete and did quite a lot of acting
There you go Bike! Big time player and a good actor. That comment jarred my memory: Dick Butkus played the heavy in a big time TV miniseries I saw I saw after ROOTS set the mark for the genre…RICH MAN, POOR MAN with Nick Noltey.
Dick probably got more parts that I’m not aware of after that
August 16, 2024 at 8:43 pm #264543Has anyone ever figured out who proclaimed 100 to be a magic number?
August 16, 2024 at 8:45 pm #264545Yeah, I did not like removing Mikolas after an infield hit. Kittredge brings a gallon of gasoline and throws it on the fire. He has really regressed since his early success.
August 16, 2024 at 8:47 pm #264546
jj-cf-stlParticipant4-3 and Miles is pulled w/runners at 1st and 2nd. Kitt is 50/50 at stranding runners now (10 of 20). Not good.
Then he tacks on his own HR.August 16, 2024 at 8:49 pm #264547
jj-cf-stlParticipant7-4 LA after top 6
August 16, 2024 at 8:58 pm #264550
jj-cf-stlParticipantAnother lefty pitcher. That book on us is league wide.
August 16, 2024 at 8:59 pm #264551Ugh!
August 16, 2024 at 8:59 pm #264552It’s silly the way this guy simply pushes the buttons that he deems are the mainstream or standard manner to behave while managing a baseball game. He has less than zero feel for how a particular situation may unfold, so it’s as if he says to himself…”Hmmm…100 pitches tells me I must remove my SP’er.” The little whiz-kid possesses the instinct and inventiveness of a paving stone. They’ll never, ever win anything with this guy.
August 16, 2024 at 9:02 pm #264553
jj-cf-stlParticipant7-5 LA
Oppo Donny strikes again.August 16, 2024 at 9:05 pm #264554Pages has it dialed in pretty good.
August 16, 2024 at 9:07 pm #264555
jj-cf-stlParticipantPages has a vs lefty job ✅
7-6 LAAugust 16, 2024 at 9:22 pm #264557Everybody gave up? Cards comming back…helloooo?
