    bikemike, I agree with you, but 2011 is getting to be a long time ago and that team had several future Hall of Famers, including Albert. 1964 was almost a lifetime ago. Currently, it seems like somehow making up the necessary ground to reach a wild card, then hoping to catch fire in October is the most anyone can realistically hope for.

    It seems like there have been too many shorter starts lately which is why I asked about the pen. My current work schedule has me missing the games in the evening so it’s hard to keep up.

    In a certain sense, a 5 inning start is never a “good start” no matter the game score.
