Gorman not in the lineup tonight against the RH starter. Probably doesn’t mean anything but you never know.

    “Might be”?
Maybe Bob is onto something w/the 6man rotation thought.

We are 3 games into a 16 games straight stretch. They could build in an extra day rest by using 6 starters, even tho the schedule doesn’t.
There’s another 16 consecutive games a week after this one ends, that takes us into Sept.
Apologies if all that isn’t perfect.
Two long stretches, one now, another coming!

Despite the fact that it’s a night game, both these SP’ers are going to be laboring in some pretty intense heat and humidity. It’s a jungle out there in StL. Wednesday’s getaway afternoon game may be played in conditions resembling purgatory.

Yeah jj, I’m surprised child labor laws don’t stand in the way of such an extreme and inhumane sort of workload.

I hadn’t look at the schedule but, based on those facts, I would definitely be in favor of a 6 man rotation. We have the starting pitching and none have been Cy Young caliber.

He’s been getting a lot of bench time. Hasn’t really been talked about.

Is Pallante trying to make a statement to the Cardinals? Ks Seager and Semien in the top of the 1st.

Pallante with another K to lead off the 2nd. 31 pitches through 2 frames. 3 Ks, 1 Walk and no hits. 0-0

The 3rd is not as kind. A single, wild pitch and a double gives the Rangers a 1-0 lead.

Carpenter looked good on the rip that resulted in the 2 run tater, but I still say I can hang right with him on the trot around the bases…Haha! Yadier Molina had better running form that Matt Carpenter.

And now Pallante’s penchant for grounders is working against him as each one just barely gets through. None are socked. One was just a stuck out bat.

His last start was crazy good on groundouts.

Yeah, those GB’s that bleed through the IF are painful to watch. The one off of Segura’s bat after the off balance swing was excruciating. He was entirely fooled on the pitch from Pallante and the weak little bouncer was effectively the beginning of the end to the Cardinals ’22 season.

Fun to have the Buck and Caray team in the booth. My earliest Cardinal memories are hearing Harry and Jack as my dad tuned in the game. Some nights it would come in crystal clear, other nights all kind of static and some fading in and out.

Just Carps’ extra base hit so far. Start thumpin’ boys.
