Gameday doesn’t explain how that run scored from 2nd. Just says infield single to SS

IF single’s wrong, Bling. It was a little flare RBI base hit to LF.

The SS fielded it on a bounce over his head in LF. So it was technically to SS and therefore to the infield. But it was well into LF.

I wonder if the play by play blurbs are AI generated.

WSN uses stolen bases like MIL does. Walks and bloops are doubles to them.

No telling. I know that Gameday is at least 15 to 20 seconds ahead of our TV broadcast which is one of several reasons that I now use ESPN’s website for a box score while the game is being played.

I did the same when I was viewing. I still kind of like it better anyway I think.

Horrible baserunning by the baserunner at 3B.

Next time Young is batting with the bases loaded, I’d put 2 outfielders in right. Nice catch by Nooty…..who didn’t break the wrong way on that line drive. And a good call by Jnevel, whom earlier today advocated for Carlson to not be positioned in right.

Down 2-0 in the bottom of the 4th. Time to show these Nats who’s boss.

I’m totally amazed at how many fans waited around after the rain delay. There’s more fans in attendance tonight than any sunny Saturday afternoon game that I can recall this year. It wouldn’t be 10 cent beer night this evening would it?

Well, NA didn’t help with the rally did he.

I’d like to see another game with extra base hits like yesterday.

All that traffic has caused Kyle to use his smoke and mirrors strand’em pitches.

Kyle got lucky a few times lately and unlucky a few times early on some bloop hits. Overall he was fine tonight. The Nationals took the right approach to wait him out and make him throw them strikes. He tends to throw a lot of junk chase pitches.

Offensively, we’ve seen several well struck balls that have gone for outs. It’s not been as bad as the scoreboard looks. Still, I’d like to see our guys hit with a little more confidence. Lots of defensive swings.

Obligatory first batter walk from our pen. That’s been happening a LOT lately.

We are behind, so Roycroft plays the part. What was that?

And Roycroft’s biggest Achilles Heel (and it’s a big one), his control, causes him to walk the bases loaded around a strikeout. Sometimes he looks great. That’s when the other team is swinging. But just like with Gibson, and with Gray yesterday to some extent, the Nationals have chosen to be patient and take the walks.

And now a 2 run double off Libby busts it wide open.

Lose this one and……..are we now buyers or sellers?

What might the odds have been of both the Cards and Brewers losing the first 2 games of their respective home series vs the lowly Nats and Marlins? 1-100? 1-150?

This home crowd’s really voicing some serious displeasure. Meanwhile, Liberatore continues to be a young Steven Matz. He can’t get anyone out.

Who do we have that actually pitches in the strike zone consistently and doesn’t rely on getting most opponents to chase garbage pitches?

    Mikolas
    Helsley
    Pallante mostly lately
    Leahy when he’s been up
    Liberatore
    King
    Anyone else?

Wow. Liberatore serving up batting practice. Bedtime for me I think.

Whoever wrote this one up should be banned. And the brass paperweights aren’t doing diddly. Course neither is anyone else, but the money needs to step up.

Starting to feel to me like Liberatore is the pitcher we put in when we are basically conceding! My guess is we won’t really do anything worthwhile at the deadline!

What is going on out there?
