All loaded up and awaiting the big hit.
June 30, 2019 at 4:57 pm #96384Well the bases are loaded and they just pulled Luchessi. Any reason to believe they pull more than 1 run out of this.
O’Neill needs to find his pitch and grip and rip. This is what he does best and he can square one up on Perdomo.
June 30, 2019 at 4:59 pm #96387So he swings at a high fastball but takes 2 pitches right up the middle. I don’t get it!
June 30, 2019 at 5:00 pm #96388Surprise surprise O’Neill whiffs.
June 30, 2019 at 5:02 pm #96389Thank you Munoz!
June 30, 2019 at 5:02 pm #96390Meathead!
That’s who should be playing instead of O’Neill in the OF
June 30, 2019 at 5:07 pm #96391Congrats to Paul D for making the all star team but I think if it wasn’t mandatory for each team to have at least 1 representative, he wouldn’t have made it and if Ozuna hadn’t been put on IL
June 30, 2019 at 5:10 pm #96392Padres only got Kirby Yates. You’d have thought they’d have at least 3 guys with the way they’ve been playing.
June 30, 2019 at 5:32 pm #96394Tommy Edman is making me look bad after all the love I’ve given him.
June 30, 2019 at 5:34 pm #96395That’s another thing that really REALLY HONKS ME OFF!!
That goofball Martinez is trying to act like he is playing the drums or banjo or whatever in the dugout, acting like a complete goofball idiot. Then he makes that stupid play in RF that allows Tatis to score all the way from 1st.
As far as I am concerned that goofball idiot Martinez and his antics are old, WAY OLD. He’s got to go as far as I am concerned. Give me a sack of potatoes and he is yours.

June 30, 2019 at 5:51 pm #96396A couple games ago Martinez turned a single into a double by loafing to the ball. What happened today was different and weird. He didn’t exactly hustle his butt off, but it was more a case that he just doesn’t play good OF defense. Watching him roam the OF is not a good look. It’s obvious Tatis knew the opportunity Martinez was likely going to give him on that play.
Martinez is a good example of Mo’s inability to construct the right kind of roster needed to be a serious contender. Martinez just doesn’t fit well on an NL contender. Everybody knows it, but yet three years running he’s still a significant piece on the Cards’ roster.
June 30, 2019 at 5:52 pm #96397We have life. Cards tie it 3-3 in the 8th.
June 30, 2019 at 5:52 pm #96398Reyes Martinez’d that.
June 30, 2019 at 5:56 pm #96399You saw that Bader was lifted right? Thankfully Lane Thomas was recalled.
June 30, 2019 at 6:01 pm #96402Munoz moves to CF.
June 30, 2019 at 6:32 pm #96404I wonder if today’s SD starter, Joey Lucchesi, is related in any fashion to ex-Phils skipper, Frank Lucchesi, who sadly passed away this month in the great State of Texas at age 92?

stlcard25ParticipantI just got home to turn on the game…seems like the bench and bullpen are a bit thin on this one. Would they run a starter out there if it goes long enough?
June 30, 2019 at 6:51 pm #96406I too just turned on the game. Hopefully we can salvage at least 1 game in this series with Seattle and SFG heading into the ASB
June 30, 2019 at 6:54 pm #96407A few words along with a comma and an epitaph missing in my last post.
June 30, 2019 at 6:55 pm #96408O’Neill reminds me Bagwell
June 30, 2019 at 6:55 pm #96409Of Bagwell
June 30, 2019 at 7:02 pm #96410
stlcard25ParticipantWieters hammers one!!! 5-3 Cards
June 30, 2019 at 7:07 pm #96411Webb in for the save.
June 30, 2019 at 7:09 pm #96412Webb makes me nervous, but he Ks Garcia for the first out.
June 30, 2019 at 7:09 pm #96413
stlcard25ParticipantWebb in to close it out. He faces erstwhile former OBP monster Greg Garcia first. Two quick strikes and he’s on the ropes. It’s now 3-2 and the Cards bench appears to be razzing Greg. He then whiffs on the next pitch and goes down for the first out.
