I will be glad when this series is over. I am already so tired of hearing about the “Albert Pujols reunion.” Frankly, I could care less about that. I am more interested in how the current team is playing instead of celebrating an opposing player. We are 2 games out of first place. Which is more important? Give him his ovation and move on.

FSM and the P-D can get so distracted at times and fawn over the most trivial of things it makes it difficult to enjoy the actual games. They sometimes have the attention span of a 2 year old.

Some of things we have had thrown in our face ad nauseum:

    Carp’s salsa
    Rally Squirrel
    Kris Bryant’s “boring” comments
    Pujols big return

The BFIB don’t need to be treated like a kindergarten class.

This team has my frustration level at a very high level. I think it is a good time to step away from the board for a few days. Plus I have no interest in the Albertpalooza that we will be inundated with all weekend. I’ll chat with you guys next week.

This team badly needs good Wacha to show up. The Angels series is another one the Cards *should* win on paper, although LA has been playing well lately. I don’t know anything about the Angels starter, except I presume they have not faced him before. Hopefully the offense can build on last night’s better performance and the starter can give us 6 solid innings. I’m not sure if it happens though.

Doppler Radar shows a big pile of green stuff in the St. Louis area. Looks like it might move out in the next hour or two.

Any word on a delay? Or PPD?

r/Esteemed Rat <~~~~who picked up his new 2019 540i BMW today and who also stopped at the Amish restaurant and had six (6) catfish fiddlers to celebrate

Hope Ozuna gets it together tonight. The energy at the plate does not seem to be there.Dexters lookin much better now. Goldschmidt needs to straighten out his contact. May be time for some younger talent in the outfield? I really wish Bader would figure out how to hit. Please no more Flatery pinch running. Let him pitch. Jeez!

Agree with everything the wiley Wooster and the cagey stlcard25 posted. Need to desperately sweep these guys, but you just know the Albert will poke at least two dongs this weekend. The Esteemed Rat gulps down not 1.not 2..not 3…not 4….not 5…..but a whopping 6 Kentucky born and bred catfish fiddlers! I bet Rat had a little fiddler on the roof of has mouth after that mammoth meal. And we all would be terribly remiss not to congratulate the Esteemed One on taking ownership of his long awaited spanking new 540i today! And to the Esteemed Arkansas Kid Scotty…..come back home soon, Big guy, this place isn’t the same without you! Go Birds!

The Cubs lost to the Mets today, so there is an opportunity to pick up one game.

    Just reporting, not celebrating! 😉

Not a boo evident. Pujols tipped his helmet and waved in all directions, hugged Molina and stepped into the box. He flied out to CF on the first pitch to end the inning and the cheering before the standing O carried on very long. I did not time it.

The Angels had already scored on an RBI double struck over Bader’s head.

TLR, Walt Jocketty and Barry Weinberg are among those in the house to show respect to Albert. The ovation was about a minute and 20 seconds.

The Angels got a tally in the first to take an early lead. Wacha has blanked them the next two innings.

The only boos were for Wacha when he walked Albert on four pitches in his second at-bat, leading off the fourth.

Apparently Goldschmidt hit a foul ball that left the stadium entirely. That is a first for Busch III according to the telecast. He then walked.

The Cards score on a couple walks, a balk and a bloop hit. Now Ozuna steals second and Jmart is up.

The Cards can’t capitalize any more in the inning as Yadi popped up and Wong flew out to center. 1-1.

Ozuna gave the Cards the lead in the 6th with a dinger. Now it’s Edman up with the bases juiced. I like this kid. Hope he ropes one.

Albert gets an infield single and after another Angel single, he’s pulled for a pinch runner. Andrew Miller is in. Will it be good Miller time?

Miler with two Ks, including Ohtani, to preserve the lead.

A couple of big Ks for Miller gets the Cards out of a seventh-inning jam.

There’s a little offense! Ozuna and Jmart drive in runs with singles. 4-1 with Yadi up.

    Wong keeps it going. 5-1.
