Didn’t realize Little Yaz is on the Bravos. Have a lot of his Uncle’s cards including his 1960 rookie.

All of a sudden I like the instant replay review…A little.

JJ looked unusually confused against Dodd. Never swung the bat – he seemed to not pick up the ball.

I like the review. Wish we had it in 1985.

I can’t say anything good about a 5 inning start. Its also hard to say anything good about 5 innings that took 98 pitches. But the bottom line was one run, and I can appreciate that.

Neither did I Bikemike. He’s been rough on the Redbirds in the past. But not quite the one man wrecking crew his uncle was in the ’67 WS. It’s a good thing we had Gibson and Brock to counter Yaz and Lonborg. Javier obviously had the key tater in game 7, but Maris may have been the WC that tipped the scales in that WS. It’d be real nice to go back to being a youngster to watch and listen to that one again. Hooked for life all over again…Haha!

‘67 was magical. I have the highlight record and as a kid listened to that so many times I could pretty much recite it.

Liberatore might have saved his job tonight. Where has this guy been for the last two months?
Always happy when somebody gets themselves straightened out a little bit, let’s hope it lasts.

Yeah, Bikemike, ’67 was the season that got me for good. In ’64 I was old enough to get a real charge out of seeing my dad and uncle and some of their friends acting like crazy kids as they watched that WS, but that was it. By ’67 I was playing little league and learning arithmetic by scouring the flip side of my Topps collection. I thought I was as baseball savvy as Stengel by then…It was a lot a fun being a kid…Haha!

Boy, oh boy, Fernandez really made a pitch on the 2-2 K for the 2nd out.

I didn’t think the cavalry was going to arrive in time.

And the Bogsider from Derry seals it shut for the W and his 21st SV.
