I really thought they would cut Pushard after Spring Training. Then he wasn’t very good during his rehab stint. I realize this is probably garbage time at this point, but I’m not sure how long they can keep hanging onto him.
They are hanging onto him because he is a rule 5 guy. Too often teams fall into the rule 5 trap. They feel like they have to justify their decision even if it defies logic.
Some quality din-dins brought to the table yesterday by BicycleMike, Honest AbeRosa, Bling and Cardinal in France. As previously stated, Cardinal in France is automatically disqualified from winning Game Thread Din-Din of The Days, as he would take home the blue ribbon on a daily basis. With it being a Saturday night game, I think we’ll go simple and give the nod to Honest AbeRosa and his hot dogs entree. Well plated Honest Abe!
