Oh, the “Under Assistant West Coast Promo Man” will be all over the marketing potential that Wetherholt brings, Albert…As I key this in he’s all decked out in his seersucker suit and white Gucci loafers as he’s tending to every available billboard in the StL area…
May 9, 2026 at 7:42 pm #307013France Homers. 1-1
May 9, 2026 at 7:48 pm #307014C’mon May! Got to finish the bottom feeders off.
May 9, 2026 at 7:54 pm #307015That came apart quickly. 3-1 Padres on a flare to right that Walker just couldn’t get to.
The issued here with May is the inconsistencies. If he can fix that he has mid starter potential. If not he’s likely a 5 on most teams due to the howitzer.
May 9, 2026 at 7:55 pm #307016Bloop pop-up hit to no man’s land in RF by Tatis scores 2. I thought Walker might get there at first, but he may not have gotten a good jump. Now down 2.
May 9, 2026 at 8:01 pm #307017How many times can you argue balls/strikes?
May 9, 2026 at 8:02 pm #3070188,652 . . . As long as you’re right each time
May 9, 2026 at 8:05 pm #307019Someone else pointed it out earlier in the thread and it’s getting to be an ongoing sight seeing Gorman go after that letter high fastball and come up empty. He simply can’t handle that pitch.
May 9, 2026 at 8:08 pm #307020They should get the ol’ heave-ho if they’re wrong…I liked it better when they couldn’t argue balls/strikes. This automated thing just makes the game take longer. I thought they were trying to get these games to end as soon as is possible so we could all go home…
May 9, 2026 at 8:11 pm #307021May looks like he’s subjecting himself to the possibility of tearing a groin tendon with that little leg kick he performs after his delivery to HP…
May 9, 2026 at 8:13 pm #307022I prefer the Earl Weaver method of arguing balls and strikes.
May 9, 2026 at 8:15 pm #307023A first rate turn from May today. He just got snakebit on the little 2 out, 2 RBI flare to RF. Hopefully his teammates can score some runs and get him off the hook.
May 9, 2026 at 8:17 pm #307024Me too, Bling. They call it “The Big Show” for a reason…Guys like Weaver/Haller made it a lot more fun to watch.
May 9, 2026 at 8:22 pm #307025They can’t hit.
They don’t have anybody that can hit.
In the long run this is what will bring them down.
Under .500 is coming up later this year.
May 9, 2026 at 8:36 pm #307026Let’s GO!
May 9, 2026 at 8:37 pm #307027Miller coming in. He probably has no chance, but maybe Walker can have a Pujols/Lidge moment here where he breaks Miller . . .
Instead it’s a harmless ground out to short. I’m just happy Jordan didn’t strike out. That was a win in my book.
May 9, 2026 at 8:47 pm #307028Everything hit off Svanson has been loud contact since this season started. There’s got to be a good reason for that.
Machado makes it 4-2 on a bomb to left center.
May 9, 2026 at 8:50 pm #307029Rat knows what he is talking about.
May 9, 2026 at 8:50 pm #307030They don’t have anybody that can hit.
Saw this coming with your .240 Nootbar comment earlier.
May 9, 2026 at 8:58 pm #307031I need whiskey!
May 9, 2026 at 9:00 pm #307032Ok. That was crazy.
May 9, 2026 at 9:01 pm #307033We have the bases loaded and didn’t get any hits.
May 9, 2026 at 9:01 pm #307034Boy, oh boy…Caught a first rate break there.
May 9, 2026 at 9:03 pm #307035JJ looks at a meatball for strike three.
May 9, 2026 at 9:04 pm #307036Well, if nothing else, at least we got Miller to throw enough pitches where he probably isn’t available tomorrow.
