The forecast seems to indicate there is a chance for storms and rain in the metropolitan St. Louis area tomorrow evening. We will just have to monitor the radar as the day goes by tomorrow.And din-din on this Monday will be a couple of baked potatoes, a can of Allen’s Cut Green Beans, a couple of ears of corn, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a big bowl of Prairie Farm’s French Vanilla ice cream.

Prieto up, Saggese down.
Saggese’s last hit was April 11. He’s gone 0-20 since then. I was wondering if it was time to rest Winn, and this might be a step in that direction. Prieto bats left. Prieto as rest for Winn, Fermin as rest for the OF and Wetherholt, Urias as rest for Gorman and Burly, and Pages as rest for Herrera? Perhaps with Prieto also getting some DH time when Herrera catches?

Weather Update,The Doppler Radar doesn’t show any green stuff in the metropolitan St. Louis area. Looks like this one will be played.
The DR does show some hit-and-miss showers near the Chicago area. The Reds and Cubs might see a rain delay at some point.

As noted above the Reds and Cubs are indeed in a weather delay at Wrigley Field.
So far all clear in downtown St. Louis.
Well, we got one, but this is looking to be another game where it seems like we always have two outs.
Baseball touched grass. Easy call and a waste of time with the review. Speed up the game and get this thing over with so we can go home…
Nice play from the Brewer RF’er. Whenever I see a similar type of play I think of Allen Craig snagging the baseball near the stands in foul territory for an out that resulted in an injury.
I’m more than a little surprised at the IBB to Wetherholt this early in the game. Herrera needs to blister the Brewers here.
Love that they are into the pen after only 10 outs. Hopefully that comes back to help later in the series.
Leahy doing a good job, though I thought he got passive there a bit in the second with the walk to Frelick and nibbling with a guy with a .511 OPS and no HRs.
That IBB to Wetherholt was the silliest move I’ve seen in a minute or two…It’s a 1 run game in 4th inning and he places another baserunner aboard to jam up the bases and work to Herrera for goodness sake. He must be drunk.
Not only was that E-4 a humorous Das Boot, but he also looked like he dogged it a little bit. I didn’t see much of an effort at all to get the mitt down on that weak bouncing ball. That should be at least a $5 fine…
That was a better start for Leahy but let’s see if he gets out with none allowed. He still needs to go deeper into games but maybe he will prove me wrong for doubting him lately
It’s good to see him walk out there and get Leahy. I was sure he’d wait until at least when the tying run was standing in. Maybe he’s beginning to learn a little bit about the game of baseball…
I can live with Leahy as a 5 inning pitcher if everyone else is a 6 inning pitcher. And if the bullpen continues to come together.
I know it’s shocking. But Soriano with a leadoff walk. He tried hard to walk Chourio on the 3-1 pitch but Chourio swung at it in the dirt. Soriano made sure the 3-2 pitch was even worse to ensure the walk.
Our relief pitchers are clearly under the impression they get a collective team bonus if they get over a certain threshold of walks on the season.
