And gscottar mentioned that the Reds have vaulted the Cardinals to move into 3rd place while the Redbirds are relegated to 4th place and sit at 8.5 games off the pace in the NLC. Some of you might recall that the Reds are that team that Johnny Bench played for…

And yep, gscottar’s right about the Cubs now featuring the best record in the NL. But it gets even more revolting when you see that the Cubbies now boast the best W/L record in either league. These are the sorts of things that help to make big pharma and it’s major investors filthy rich…

Yeah, I had expectations that Gorman would have numbers similar to Crow-Armstrong by now.

They don’t even have the same skill set. When I saw Gorman in his 2nd year I thought that was about the peak. Too bad he can’t at least get back to that point.

Can we stop with the NLC update? We haven’t been playing for that in a month or so.

At best the goal was the get back to the playoffs and not going for something that was almost unattainable to 98% of the fan base heading into the season.

Granted they keep it up and they won’t even be close the mountain of the NLWC race.

    Paid - Annual

Gorman / WAlker isn’t numbers related, Anyone that can crack open a player page knows that comp is about something else.

You forgot Walkers .555 ops GS, if we are using only 2025’s partial season. A pair of career 102 ops+, from Burly and and Gorman, is my starting point.

In a couple weeks it won’t matter, and until we can pitch, neither do the games. Lets keep our closer in case it’s still a game after 4 innings, once a week.

I would like to see both Gorman and Walker sent to Memphis and left there until they are AAA all-stars and just killing it. Luken Baker was a 30+ HR guy down there but it never quite translated to the bigs.

Winn seems like he had adjusted well enough to ML pitching for the SS position.

Don’t know if Scott will – I think he might but his OBP needs to come on up as his speed on the base paths is a real weapon.

I think Nootbar has hit his ceiling.

Burleson is a nice accent player but man does struggle against lefty pitching.

Donovan is really good and really versatile.

Arenado is still good but nowhere near his prime – you can’t ‘build’ around him or Gray for that matter.

Pages is serviceable at C but not much more.

Bullpen is good, starting pitching just isn’t.

You guys have all said it – we have no MOTO bats and we need 2. (Maybe Contreras can be one?) We have 2 decent starting pitchers but of those (Gray) is mid-30s and will fade.

From a team / roster building perspective – it ain’t pretty.
