6:15 p.m.
RHP Andre Pallante (4-3, 4.13) vs. RHP Brady Singer (7-4, 4.34)
FanDuel // KMOX // WIJRJune 20, 2025 at 11:19 am #285167Pallante has been shaky of late – seems to cruise along for a few innings, then get rocked. I agree with the poster that said McGreevy should be int he rotation ahead of Pallante.
But looking down the road, we might be in a nice spot to both sell at the trade deadline, and stay in contention. It would be ideal to move on from Fedde and/or Mikolas if we can, and move McGreevy into the rotation full time.
June 20, 2025 at 12:00 pm #285168What’s for din din today? It’s a CCFF! Going to stop at the store first and then head out to the Amish restaurant on the lake. Then have a cigar out on the front bench area afterwards.
Then probably have to mow some when I get back home. But me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch for this one. Just like we were on the couch late last night for the fireworks between the Padres and Dodgers. Poor Frank Tatis Jr. just kept getting hit by pitches. And Watubi kept getting hit in retaliation.
June 20, 2025 at 12:57 pm #285174Din din? Nothin’ fancy. Half a cantaloupe. Coupla Toulouse sausages with baked beans. Finished off with a dish of fresh strawberries. All watered with tasty iced tea.
I’ll be fast asleep by first pitch, dreaming of a Cardinal romp over those pesky Reds.
Rah Cardinals!
June 20, 2025 at 3:08 pm #285182Significant blow for the #STLCards, who lose Herrera to the IL for the second time this year. https://t.co/wwX1DTUW5n

June 20, 2025 at 3:49 pm #285184On a good note……
Seattle leads the Cubs 6-4 in the bottom of the 8th at Wrigley.
Can the Mariners hang on?
June 20, 2025 at 4:21 pm #285186Losing Herrera for up to 6 weeks is a massive blow. He, Donnie, and Burly have carried this team offensively. We always seem to lose one of our better players right before playing the Cubs.
#STLCards DH/catcher Iván Herrera said an MRI taken today in St. Louis showed a Grade 2 strain in his left hamstring. He said he has been told he will miss “two to six weeks.”
He was warned that if he continued to play on the strain that it could lead to a season-ending injury.

June 20, 2025 at 5:05 pm #285188It’s heating up pretty good this afternoon in StL. and the on field temps for the two day games this weekend ought to be comparable to purgatory. Tonight’s game may not be too bad once the sun sets, but I sure wouldn’t want to be laboring atop a pitcher’s mound at 2 or 3 in the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. In any case, it’s that time of year in StL. when we can expect jungle-boogie weather along with power bills that’ll make you say bad words…
June 20, 2025 at 5:17 pm #285190We can’t afford to lose Herrera’s bat if we are to retain any hope of being a factor in the NLC. Somebody needs to step up now, if not two somebodies.
June 20, 2025 at 5:25 pm #285191And the Mariners hang on to beat the Cubs at Wrigley. 9-4 Seattle your happy final.
I didn’t realize this game started at 7:15 est (my time). Good thing I noticed that or I might have missed the first few innings.
Just got done mowing so I better jump in the shower and get ready for 1st pitch!
June 20, 2025 at 6:49 pm #285192What would Brian Boitano do if he were here today?
June 20, 2025 at 7:18 pm #285193The Cardinals have had several scoring opportunities and only a solitary run to show for it. Hopefully someone can push this lead-off double across HP for another run.
June 20, 2025 at 7:21 pm #285194That’s now 0 for 7 with RISP thru 4.
June 20, 2025 at 7:55 pm #285196It’s awfully quiet in the TCN section. Must be the heat.
June 20, 2025 at 7:59 pm #285197Maton gets the GIDP, but why even send Pallante out there for the 7th if you’re going to go get him after he allows a seeing eye bouncing ball base hit?
June 20, 2025 at 8:07 pm #285198Barlow must feel like he has a wool blanket draped around the back of his neck. I don’t know how he does it.
June 20, 2025 at 8:08 pm #285199Ouch…Looked like it got him flush on the kneecap. That’s a lot of bad words…

ParticipantGetting to watch the team for once. I just started watching though so havent seen much. The reds hsve been hot so starting pitching must have been pretty good to be shutting them out. The cards have managed to get two runs off the bad pitching tbe reds had out there in the 7th, might be able to break it open here with bases loaded.

ParticipantWell the reds third baseman gave us a gift with a terrible throw.
June 20, 2025 at 8:23 pm #285203
stlcard25ParticipantBatting around! 6-0 Cards, now.
June 20, 2025 at 8:25 pm #285204
stlcard25ParticipantWalker gets nothing but sliders. He’s got to learn to lay off that low and away pitch.
June 20, 2025 at 8:42 pm #285206Why didn’t they pinch-hit for Gorman in the 7th?????
Both Arenado and Contreras were on the bench.
June 20, 2025 at 9:03 pm #2852076-1 St. Louis your happy final.
Time to get some chili, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, some warm chocolate chip cookies, and a couple cigars and get back on the couch with Whitey Herdog to watch the Nats/Doyers from Doyer Stadium. Or the Red Sox/Giants from Candlestick Park. If both games are blowouts an episode of Barnaby Jones is always a possibility.

jj-cf-stlParticipantWe can look pretty good at home. Team win.
41-35 W/LJune 20, 2025 at 9:19 pm #285213I missed the big E-5 Das Boot that allowed the 2 runs to score. Those butterfly and daisy patterned oven mitts are nice when the other team shows up wearing one of them. In any case, the Cardinals whittle away another game off the Cubbie’s lead with their 4th consecutive W and now sit at 4.5 off the pace in the NLC. But what’s even better is that they stand all alone in sole possession of that coveted 3rd NLWC…We’re well on our way to funky town, Redbird fans…Haha!
