Those on the member forum know I have not been high on Pallante even when performing well and I think he is a #5. I have to ask, do we think the team would win more games with Michael McGreevy in the #5 spot instead of Pallante?

Pallante STILL needs an offspeed pitch to disrupt timing. The sinker/slider mph range is a happy zone if that’s all you have to look for. Many balls in play do get beat in the ground, and many leave the park. Same problem Gant had.

In other news, Bernal hit his 9th homer tonight and now has an OPS over .900 as a young catcher at AA. Rajcic threw 5 2/3 and allowed just one hit.

And Raniel Rodriguez hit a homer on his first day for his first at bat in Low A.

I hope I didn’t jinx McGreevy as he exited after 4.1 innings even though he was pitching well. He was at 75 pitches. Fingers crossed they pulled him to avoid extra pitches on his arm to call him up instead of an injury.

I went and watched the Memphis game. They had a guy warming up already. Even the announcer for the game said that may be a queue for things to come this weekend. So lets expect to see McGreevy get a start against the Dodgers.
