One of the many things that make baseball great is that it’s given us names like Blue Moon Odom, Catfish Hunter, Dizzy Dean, Coco Crisp, Mudcat Grant, etc. But baseball just keeps getting better and better as clearly evidenced by the emergence of, Peter Crowbar Armstringer…Haha!

After team losses in the first 5 turns from Mikolas this season, the Cardinals have now been winners in his last 4 turns. In addition to that reality, after a start to the ’25 season that was anything other than promising, Miles is now 4-2 to go along with a very respectable 3.51 ERA.
Helsley has turned into a RH version of Mitch Williams, the “wild thing.” He has always has to make it interesting. He must be sponsored by Maalox.

At least we got the W. We don’t gain ground on the Cubs but we are still in the wild card hunt. I hope this team puts the pressure on the front office come trade deadline time.
