Oh holy geez! Another stupid AppleTV game. That means I won’t be able to see it. Thank you MLB!

On a good note. We won’t have to face Corbin Burnes in this series as he pitched last night in Los Angeles.

Boo another Apple TV game tomorrow. Here is to hoping whomever takes the ESPN slot allows their games to be on MLB.tv and then eventually Apple backs out or another also put the games on MLB.tv. I have to give Roku props that they at least put their games on MLB.tv when they broadcast them.

And they toss in these streaming games after an off day. Clearly a blatant purpose pitch.

    On a good note…..

The weather looks good for tonight’s game. A little on the cool side, probably upper 60s at first pitch. It also looks all clear for tonight’s Cubs/Reds matchup at Crosley Field in Cincinnati. Thanks to AppleTV that is the game I will be viewing.

Now, as soon as I hit enter, it’s out to the Amish restaurant for a CCFF. Along with some mashed potatoes/gravy, noodles, dressing, some baked fish, sweet iced tea, a piece of cherry pie and some soft serve vanilla ice cream. Then a cigar out front on the bench. And then home to mow a little bit. After that a quick shower and another cigar as I settle into the Cubs/Reds game with Whitey Herdog on the couch with me.

Among all the pieces available to us, I would say the above assemblage is the best possible choice.

But the question arises, are we ever going to get around to the much-discussed “reset?” Or does “reset” in fact mean put the same old faces into a sack, give it a shake and hope what rolls out is an exciting new baseball team?”

Maybe we should refer to the reset as “Yahtzee”

Alright, an Apple TV game! That means I don’t have to sit on the couch for 2 1/2 hours vegging in front of the tube, and can do other things while listening to the broadcast like those long lost days of yore.

We are sort of in the ball park of CFFF, having “Romesco Trout” for din-din, along seasoned potato wedges and tossed salad.

Our old buddy Gallen throws for them. Hasn’t pitched as well as usual so far this year, but will no doubt be amped up for this one.

An interesting article about Cerfolio’s impact on the org so far. Crazy to think this guy is only 32 and at the level he is in the front office.

The radio broadcast and the mlb game day strike zone is a decent backup plan. Game day has the highlights up quickly and the box score is live.

Yeah, it’s been my experience that gameday is routinely 10 to 15 seconds ahead of any sort of live broadcast. In fact, I’ve conditioned myself not to look at it while watching a television broadcast because it’s not at all unlike the sort of knucklehead that tells you what’s going to happen next in a mystery/thriller movie…

Mikolas at 40 pitches, after 9 outs, out of 10 batters faced.

I guess most are aware that lower back spasms is the reason given for Contreras being a late scratch from the lineup. I had those the other day as a result of downed limbs, dandelions and crab grass…Willson needs to pay a youngster to tackle that sort of yardwork.

I thought whiz kid was the backache?!?

Miles last two outs on soft stuff. Hope it stays effective a few more innings.

The Reds led the Cubs 6-2 entering the 7th.

Then ol’ Peter Crowbar Armstringer hit a grand slam.

8-6 Cubs at 7th inning stretch.

And once again we can’t score any runs.

I keep telling everybody we don’t have anybody on the team that can hit.

And now the Cubs nail another homerun, this one a 3 run bomb. They now lead the Reds 11-6.

I guess the Cubs have some players that can hit.

Needed a ball in play on Burly’s sac fly opp and got a K.

There’s a ball in play, and a crooked number. Nado figured him out.

At the game tonight. Sorry, didn’t realize it was Apple TV broadcast. Guys are playing great, Mikolas was stellar save one pitch. Arenado needed that triple with bases loaded, and fans went wild. When Victor Scott gets on base, the other team tenses up and you can sense it in the stands. Burly got robbed at bat by HP umpire calling some balls as strikes, but he’s doing the same to the DBs. Leahy might take it through nine, no sign of Helsley yet. So far so good!
