If he didn’t already know, Bloom is finding out there isn’t a potential young contingent around which to build. The ML roster is bleak and barren. A NASA rover could ride around on it poking rocks. As far as what is coming there is Wetherholt we can count on, although he may end up being a right sider at the ML level. There are a couple pitchers who are maybes, Mathews and Doyle. As to the catchers coming, it seems prudent to believe it when we see it.

Granny on Beverly Hillbillies could have made a stronger throw in from CF on that walk off. Even if he couldn’t have got him, that is the kind of play that needs to be executed well every time, approach, footwork, come up gunning. The game was on the line and that’s what we get?
