Mikolas is just brutal on the road. Fortunately we won’t see this clown show next year. We just have to hope whoever takes his place is better. The bar is low, but still you never know.

Mikolas looked off to me from the first inning Mike. Looks like hes moving slow to me. But I’m just watching tv though.

Nice to see us make it a ball game. See if these “B” relievers can keep it close.

Congrats to Nathan “Bubba” Church with his first MLB ding-dong!!!

Add-on: looks like the second string bullpeners won’t keep this one close.

They could be in the same outfield.

Mikolas and the audition relievers are taking their toll on this game.

6 runs on 9 hits sounds good for us. However giving up 10 runs in 16 hits tells the story about our pitching. Hope its better Sunday.Go Cardinals!

I didn’t see a solitary pitch, but glancing at the box, I’m trying to figure out how Miles only got touched up for 5 ER’s after surrendering 10 hits including 2 HR’s in less than 3 innings of work. What’s really amazing is that it looks as though the Cardinals are so incredibly short on pitching depth that they can’t even figure out a way to shut Miles down due to some sort of malady. It’s a genuine jungle out there in Redbird land.

Like I said before, I can imagine Bloom googling how to say a Hail Mary.

Taking a gander at the late Friday night scoreboard:

The Cubs win 3-2 with a run in the 9th at Anaheim. It was a homerun by Peter.

The Reds lose 6-5 in 11 innings at Arizona.

The Doyers lose 2-1 to the Padres at Qualcomm Stadium.

The Mikolas extension will surely go down as one of the worst in Cardinal history made exponentially worse by the fact that the team is riding it out through the very. last. start.

We desperately need an owner / ownership group that has the wherewithal and the desire to eat a bad contract here and there and go get another player.

Amen Z. Problem with the Cardinals is it hasn’t just been here and there. We are always hanging on to a bad contract. Bill’s biggest mistake was hanging on to Mo.

I am convinced that BDW would rather sky dive off the top of the Arch than pay someone not to play. It would be ok if it happened just occasionally but as KCB mentioned we always have a bad contract lingering.

    Waino extension
    Carp extension
    Fowler
    Leake
    Cecil
    Matz
    Mikolas
    Peralta
    DeJong
    Miller

I am probably forgetting others. You can probably add Arenado to the group as well.
