This is a game where Pallante is pitching terrible, and the Padres are batting more terrible. Something’s got to give sometime.

Pallante doing his reliever routine w/ sinker-sliders. It has worked well enough, but its a gamble as a starter.

Pozo needs to get in touch with Lance Lynn and ask him what he did when he went to the beach body a few years back.

Pallante with a quiet 5th. 3 flyball outs.

It helps Pozo with blocking pitches 🙃
    Plenty of them today.

Herrera with the best hit ball by the team all game. Results in a long flyball out.

No excuse for Gorman to not come up with that! That is pathetic!

Once again no runs. This time through seven innings.

I’m not sure what the answer is for this anemic offense.

This team can hit, but they just can’t score. Give them a little credit…they’ve got a hit today.

Munoz dovetails in really nice with this team.

    Potential nicknames for the Cardinals (lack of) offense;

    The Big Dead Machine

    The Smush Brothers

    Oil’s Wallflowers

    The Gassed Out Gang

They need players who can hit.

If Pozo and Lance Lynn ever meet for lunch, a worldwide food shortage may ensue.

Yep, nice one’s, Grey! Weren’t the ChiSox called something like “The Hitless Wonders” about a century ago? Sure futs our 2025 squad. Or with the great Ozzie Smith in mind, how about “The Wizard of O-4’s”…..nope, we’ll go with your’s, Grey. But on a serious note, who else out there is still bullish on our boys? This should be a fun last 50 games checking out some of our nice young talent and maybe playing spoilers vs our hated arch rivals. Go Birds!

He’s a very good athlete and looks fine out there. Moves well, seems more comfortable than Walker in rf.

    I can’t remember – what is Walker’s ‘natural’ position?
