Maybe we can Trade Fedde for a used puck bag.

At this point we will have to give him away and pay some salary to do so.

Fedde is owed less than $3 mil for the rest of the year. Hopefully, the Cardinals could work out something to trade him. Cut Mikolas. Leave McGreevy in the rotation and have Matz start. If Matz gets traded, start Leahy. Graceffo, Mathews, Roby or Taylor could spot start if someone gets hurt. That surely would be just as good as the current rotation.

Leahys’ K’s this evening deserve mentioning.

Everyone, including myself, is weary of watching the sort of awful performance that Fedde featured in tonight’s turn. However, in my view, he’s nothing more than a single glaring flaw that is just one of countless weak areas that make up a lousy team. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s my guess that there’s a very good chance that the Cardinals could lose a lot of games in the last two months of this season.

It seems like the guys making the money are the worst.

The Cardinals have left a lot of men on base tonight.

Management must think Pozo just keeps playing over his head.
He’s been consistent at it too, like that’s his every day game.

Rockies have the bases loaded on a high hopper infield hit, an error on a possible double play ball to Donovan, and an 11 pitch walk.

And another walk scores one for the Rockies.

Do we even know who or what constitutes management these days? I know that I have no idea who’s in charge of this team. And I don’t think anyone wants to take credit for being in charge…Is the new guy that calls himself, Bloom, steering the ship? And if so, whatever happened to Johnny’s traveling secretary? The one with the pretty hair. And speaking of Johnny, is he still even stateside, or has he left the country? It’s as if none of these guys want to be seen. I really can’t say I blame them too much.

It’s too hot to round up a posse…
Dust in the wind I guess.

The only Cardinal batter to strike out is Contreras to end the game. 8-4 Rockies the final.

We’ve got a shortstop. With men on hitting it to Winn is a gift.

An 8-4 final against a team that’s by far the worst in the game and it wasn’t nearly as close as the final score would indicate.

Do we think Fedde starts another game for us or not?

Sunday’s starter is TBD. So if we wanted to move on to McGreevy full time we could demote him to a long relief role. Maybe get him some work piggybacking Mikolas or McGreevy and say it’s due to the deadline. Lol

Even horrible teams generally end up winning 1/3 of their games. That equates to a 54-108 season so yeah you hate dropping a game in Denver after getting swept in Phoenix but win today and it’s still a Meatloaf series.

    Fedde has a 5.22 ERA.

I don’t know why any playoff contender would trade for him, when he hurts a team’s chances of winning.

This used to be the time of year the Cardinals would DFA somebody like Fedde.

Mikolas makes too much for the Cardinals to cut him.

Perhaps they should move Graceffo and McGreevy into the starting rotation, and put Fedde and Mikolas in the bullpen.
