Carlos scratched for “personal reasons”. Bud Norris to start.

I really don’t understand giving Norris starters innings. His history does not give great confidence. I guess he can just hold down a spot until one of our kids is ready, particularly Reyes. And what about Gomber? I’d rather see him given a real chance, with no other lefties in the rotation.

His performance today does not give great confidence.

I know its early, but after today I don’t want to see Bud Norris starting another game. Gilmartin pitched well in his previous outings but he’ll be one of the first ones cut after today.

Numerous twitter accounts (Rob Rains, Jose Ortiz, Joe Trezza) are reporting Norris suffered left hamstring spasms.

Cards lose 9-6 to fall to 3-4-1 on the spring. Norris took the loss after giving up five. Gilmartin was charged with three more. Bader had three hits, including two doubles.

I don’t think it means much who starts games until next week…

But Bud Norris shouldn’t be considered a starter at all at any point in his stay here in STL.

What a strange play in the 9th. Red Sox shortstop boots the ball towards their 2nd baseman, who is standing on the base and gets the force out. Very lucky.
