Isn’t everybody all excited about the beginning of Spring Training? I didn’t see any threads about it so I thought I would post something. I know some teams are reporting today.
By the way, when do pitchers and catchers report for the Redbirds? And when does everyone else report?

I am always excited for spring Training. All the new faces will be exciting to follow. It will be a good battle for the starting rotation, even though we probably won’t see any prospects until mid season. I’m most concerned about our offense. Gorman, Scott II, Walker etc will have to step up their game. I wonder when the first game is?
What are the odds at bet365 of the Cardinals securing another coveted Grapefruit League championship?
I’ve been checking MLB trade rumors every 2 hours to see who shows up to camp injured. Seemed like we were afflicted by that more than most for a while.

There used to be a bar here in Denver close to Coors Field that held what they called a “Battery Bash” every February. They had all kinds of drink specials and fun stuff going on with a sign outside that said they were celebrating “…the day we all look forward to – pitchers and catchers report.”
In my younger, single days of the ‘90s when I was more into the bar scene than today I would join in with the celebration. 😁

Brian, is that going to disrupt some of your plans for this spring or will you still be able to have access to what you need to get the great content you do?
I was unable to access the complex for the last month, but last Friday, the construction firm let the Cardinals employees start moving in. The media had first access this Tuesday. I can get to the fields and do what I need to do.

I’m sure that Brian already covered this, but tough to read about Ixan Henderson being shelved before even hitting the mound this year. It’s quite the run of pitching injuries for the minor league arms in the last year. Will any end up making it?
When will we know more about Hendersons injury? I read that a lat strain has 3 grades. Grade 1 is very short term to grade 3 which he could be out for months.
It is said to be of the mild variety. BTW, I wrote about Henderson several days before anyone else. There’s more yet for others to learn. There are benefits in subscribing!
