I guess this is a move to lay some blame on willie or it seems like. I wonder what an advisory role is.
We do have an awful lot of advisors and guys doing “special projects”.
I don’t think they are laying any blame on Willie. I think he’s just getting older and he recognizes that coaching outfielders may be better suited to someone younger. Willie is a legend in St Louis and a good guy. I’m glad he’s sticking around.
At less than a couple weeks shy of 66 years of age, my guess is that Willie McGee no longer cares to subject himself to the never ending Chinese fire drill administered by the circus clowns who are the current bosses of the St. Louis, Cardinals. As for the title of “advisory role,” Willie’s best advice to himself was to retain his sanity.
