Good points. Remember that six OFs are already on the 40-man and only Williams is out of options. That doesn’t mean Szczur has no chance, but it isn’t going to be early unless he is a different player in camp.

Jager, I brought up some of those same points on the 2021 spring training roster thread. Taxi squads will have a different impact this year vs last year and it will be interesting to see how it plays out in relation to the AAA roster/needs.

Do taxi players have to be on the 40 man? If not, do they have to be placed on the 40 man if activated?

No and yes without exception.

I doubt more than 1 or 2 out of the gang of 6 will be injured at any given time, so Szczur will have to wait until Mo declares a few of them non-Arozarenas. My guess is that will be Sept. 14.
