August 1, 2018 at 7:35 pm #63612There have been over two dozen transactions in the last two days alone. Derek and I have broken down all of them for members.
Bw52, I did not even notice anything wrong with Donovan so I did not know to ask. He is healthy enough to travel with the team and took BP when I saw them last week. Short season rosters are so large, they rarely need to use the DL. Will see what I can find out.
Especially while I am on the road, folks will get to me faster on the members board. Thanks.

stlcard25ParticipantThis child needs to be nominated for #CatchOfTheYear. 😮
He even stared down the Drillers outfielder! 🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/IcvZFuPUAl— Springfield Cardinals (@Sgf_Cardinals) August 1, 2018
August 2, 2018 at 7:50 am #63642Priceless stlcard25!! Now that is a competitive young lad who is going to be a winner. Not only the talent and the will to make the play, but then also the wherewithal to immediately sprinkle salt into the wound of his opponent. If this rascallion doesn’t end up being a star athlete, he most assuredly will be a great businessman. His parents should be proud!

ParticipantA. Garcia 2 out of 4 with 2 home runs. Young 3 out of 5 with a home run. Both continue to make statements.

stlcard25ParticipantIndeed, Pugs. It’d be interesting to hear of him in about 15 years making his big league debut and look back on the video. Ha!
Also of note…Dominic Leone is in Memphis on rehab. He stuck out two in his inning of work last night. I’d enjoy seeing him back in the pen, perhaps at the expense of Brebbia or one of the lefties.

jj-cf-stlParticipantWhich made me wonder about Shreves status. I see 3 seasons where he’s been optioned down. Likely out of options.
Wong due back also.

ParticipantGarcia still has just a 107 wRC+, lower than last years’ 110 even with the 21 homeruns.
August 2, 2018 at 8:48 am #63656Save the video as it really could happen, stlcard25. If that were my kid, right after making that catch, I would have marched him right on down to the ice cream stand and ordered him not a one or two scoop cone, but a whopping 10 scoop cone. Then I would parade him and his colossal cone thru the stands and right on back to the left field hill area…..proud as a peacock. And then who knows, maybe as fate would have it, another home team homer would come his way, thus resulting in the true test for the lad. Would he discard his 8 scooper (you’d have to figure by this time he would have gulped down 2 scoops) in hot pursuit of yet another coveted souvenir???? Or, and I know this is kind of Hollywoodish, but what the heck…. what if the kid makes the same play while still maintaining firm control of his cone….. anything is possible with this young fellow. Then the near impossible could become possible…. a 20 scooper!
August 2, 2018 at 10:29 am #63669The #stlcards system went 3-5 on Wednesday. Player of Day Anthony Shew threw six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts for Springfield. Outfielder Adolis Garcia remains red hot, with two home runs, raising his season total to 21. https://t.co/51w3o2uAEo pic.twitter.com/VG0b8QJPjz
