With Springfield being off today and Ponce-Oviedo-Parsons going I count a combined record of 9-0. Plus look at those impressive ERAs. I plan to listen to the Peoria game while watching the Cards at WAS.

I liked Meisingers start the other day. Maybe it was a fluke, but I would like to see him get another start. He could be one of the rare few who became a starter after largely being a reliever, a la Braden Looper.

That last thought made me look up Loopers stats. His last year with Milwaukee he gave up 39 longballs. I hope he had a good chiropractor.

Is Toerner on the verge of being a legit prospect? I realize he’s got some unsustainable stats, but he is hitting so well and has done pretty well everywhere he’s been so far.

I’ve been wondering the same thing about Toerner. He’s been doing it in a pitcher’s league for a month now.

The Peoria Chiefs must be rusty and restless… during the last 6 days they only played on Friday.

Right now the Beach Bird’s Toerner is leading the Florida State League in AVR at .394… the second is at .337. Palm Beach team’s AVR is .270 the second highest is .247!

Toerner is behind the eight ball and a lot of OF bodies including top prospects in the organization. What to do? I suggested swapping Toerner and Hurst who is having a tough go of it early on.
