I would like to see Cabrera pitch. He is supposed to have a very live arm.

An early guess on player of the day goes to Jhon Torres, who joined us via the Mercado trade. For the GCL Cards, he was 4 for 6, with 2 doubles, a homer and 5 rbis. Although a difficult feat, I would gladly see someone top him.

Rookie league box scores have been crazy lately….just wish the pitching sides of the box were better

its been awhile since i have been genuinely excited about some young hitters at the corner

Mendoza, Montero, Gorman all…not to mention Schrock has been playing some 3rd i have seen…and does Andy young play 3b any?

Young can play 2B, SS and 3B and plays all three well. There’s Sosa, Schrock, Wisdom, Edman, Urias and Mendoza as competition. He plays because he can hit.

Young’s best position is second. He can also play a decent third. He lacks the range to be more than a fill in at short.
