DSL offWell Johnson City has already pushed the start time for game 1 back an hour on two occasions this afternoon. First pitch for game 1 now scheduled for 7pm. 7pm start time for a double header? Ugh and I realize they only go 7 innings but still, that’s asking a lot. This is the 2nd straight day they’ve done this and at this point I have doubts they’ll get the games in. Color me surprised if they do.
And to add insult to injury, they postponed their t-shirt giveaway.
Fans, tonight’s double header will begin at 7pm, with gates opening at 6pm! The Tennessee Hills Distillery T-Shirt giveaway has been rescheduled to Thursday the 23rd.

A swinging bunt.Also home run by Luken Baker. Palm Beach wins 2-0 behind another great performance by Fagalde. Four hits, one walk and 8 K’s in 6 shutout innings.
State College a 9-3 win as Toerner with 3 hits and 2 by Espinal as both are pushing .300. Espinal a homer.
Pugs will be pleased…although he didn’t quite hit his predicted game score of 80, 74 is very solid for Alexander “The Great.”
If not for that one free pass, he would have had his 80, stlcard25. Alexander “The Great” Fagalde continues to impress! I’m very worried though as this man needs to be challenged….and he’s just not getting it! He’s not going to be challenged at Peoria, nor will he be challenged at Palm Beach….and I’m beginning to wonder if he’ll even be challenged at Springfield. Now can we end this charade and start to challenge this diamond in the rough!!
Here here, Cardinals27! You know, if this were the 70’s when fan clubs were all the rage, I think at least half of us here would be bona fide card carrying members of the FFC…..or Fagalde Fan Club, if you will.
Woodford has given up 8 runs (4 earned) tonight for Memphis. The league has appeared to catch up to him.
Woodford is still just 21 years old pitching in Triple-A.
As far as the league catching up to him, he had six pretty good starts before stumbling his last two times out – 5 and 4 earned.
Here are his runs allowed in his first six Memphis starts: 4, 1, 3, 1, 1, 0.
Also meant to include that Angel Rondon looked very good yesterday. Fastball 90-92 mph, touching 94, Good curveball 77, and he got swings and misses on his change up. And I believe he is only 20.
Ascanio looked good defensively. Luken Baker is a big boy, and very slow. He hammered a homer, and hit into a double play even though the shortstop bobbled it a couple of times.

Baker is also coming off a broken leg and torn ankle ligament in April for which he is still getting treatment. Obviously, he will never be mistaken for Vince Coleman, though.
