May 16, 2023 at 6:30 pm #220709Btw, for those with MILBTV, the Palm Beach game is available for viewing tonight. Baez hit a 430 foot homer, with Rajcic 2 perfect innings to start the game. Iadesernia and Moquette also homered.

MrperkinsParticipantSpringfield Cardinals have a hat promotion on Thurs May 25th. Really a beautiful hat. Shelled out 50$ for the ticket to the game for the hat despite not being able to attend due to kids T-ball game. If someone wants 1 free ticket get back to me here.
May 17, 2023 at 4:37 pm #220830Taveras at Peoria now has 12 Ks in his last 4 2/3 innings. Its too bad this is his 7th minor league season.
May 18, 2023 at 5:44 am #220934The #STLCards system was 3-1 on Wednesday. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day is RF Won-Bin Cho, who was 3-for-4 with three RBI in Palm Beach’s road win. stlcard25ParticipantCho looks to have a very good approach and is able to work the count. Exciting to think about him as a prospect. Hopefully we see him continue to perform fairly well.
May 18, 2023 at 8:47 am #220939I am very excited about Cho. I think he has a good shot to make the big leagues in a few years.
May 18, 2023 at 9:03 am #220943Thompson is continuing to have problems in Memphis. I wonder if there is a problem.
May 18, 2023 at 11:18 am #220954Connor Thomas (4-2, 4.74) is starting for Memphis.
Perhaps Thompson needs some time to adapt to his return to the minors and to a starting role. In his three starts what stands out to me is 10 walks in 7 1/3 innings. Maybe he and the robo umps are not seeing eye to lens! 😉
May 18, 2023 at 5:03 pm #220995Maybe he and the robo umps are not seeing eye to lens!
Maybe the catcher is bad at framing.
May 19, 2023 at 7:00 am #221129The #STLCards system went 0-3 on Thursday with the Palm Beach contest suspended. The Cardinal Nation’s Player of the Day, Matt Koperniak, recorded three hits, two RBI and an OF assist for Memphis. Other standouts: Connor Thomas and Jeremy Rivas. ParticipantRincon is having a great May after a so-so April. He has to be the front runner for pitcher of the month.
Cho has really turned it on in the last two weeks…. on May 9th he was batting .171. Yesterday he was up to.255.
Darlin Moquete was HBP in the top of the 7th in the 2nd game. He ran the bases but replaced in the bottom half of the inning. Probably precautionary with the 6-0 lead.
Palm Beach is 24-13. Big difference from last year.
May 20, 2023 at 12:07 pm #221273Won Bin Cho has really picked up the pace. In the last 28 days he has a line of 313/413/422/835.
I am glad to see Darlin Moquete still in the organization. He put up some huge numbers in the DSL a few years ago. I see that he is now playing 2B. Didn’t he used to be in the OF?
May 20, 2023 at 12:08 pm #221274We were on the same wavelength Ny.
May 20, 2023 at 12:15 pm #22127614NyquisT
ParticipantMoquete is playing his 2nd season at low-A. At 23 he really needs to turn it up…. he still has that .287 minors BA.
May 20, 2023 at 12:23 pm #221277No doubt. He was in the DSL 4 years ago so if he has any chance at the big leagues he needs to get a move on. He might run out of runway like Delvin Perez did.
May 20, 2023 at 12:53 pm #221279I wrote about Moquete getting a trial at second base late last season. He’s been there since.
May 20, 2023 at 12:59 pm #221280I posted the following yesterday. Hudson has been activated today and will start tomorrow (Sunday).
Former #STLCards RHP Dakota Hudson is scheduled to come off the IL and start for Triple-A Memphis at home on Sunday. Earlier, the 28-year-old made four starts for the Redbirds with a 5.40 ERA. His most recent action was on April 19 before he was sidelined with neck discomfort. pic.twitter.com/HvxxB22qvn

cardsfan64ParticipantI was really hoping Moquete was going to make the jump to Peoria to start the season to be in a more hitter friendly environment. I agree that his time may be running out! Still would like to see if he can play at the next level.
