The opening week of minor league ball is Triple-A only, with Memphis at Charlotte Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday games are 6:04 p.m. CT and Sunday is 12:05.
Starting pitchers will be added when we get them. Matthew Liberatore starts the opener.
(Springfield, Peoria and Palm Beach seasons open at the end of this coming week.)
Liberatore looked very good in his five scoreless innings. Four hits, two walks, seven strikeouts. That 98 mph fastball was his final pitch.

Zuniga gave up game winning homer. But to his defense the wind was blowing out to center on that homer and previous hit.

Zuniga only threw 6 pitches, so I don’t think we learned anything, good or bad. Hudson threw 76, so we have something to look at. Hopefully he will cut down the traffic next time out.

Connor Thomas is starting for Memphis today. Suggests Graceffo may be getting the ball for the home opener on Tuesday.
Since Baker is completely blocked in St. Louis perhaps he will be a nice trade piece for us in July.

I’d like to see Hence pitch in Peorias opener Thursday. I wish I could get confirmation he is actually pitching. So far Milb shows TBA for the Chiefs.
