We might have two prospects that we thought were gone in Perez and Plummer. Easy to forget they’re the same age as A guy like Burleson. Those two oppo shots by Plummer were cranked. Impressive power there
July 9, 2021 at 1:46 am #166058Perez, Plummer, Torres, and Donovan all could be added to 40 man. Torres would probably need to reach AA though.
July 9, 2021 at 1:49 am #166059I would hope whatever Perez and Plummer did between 2918 and 2021 that they keep doing it.
July 9, 2021 at 1:52 am #166060Yes 27 – we might have a strong position player pipeline if they keep it up. Nunez not crushing it but definitely doing the best with his promo out of the three 3B, which is a good sign given he was least certain prospect of the three and all three promos were aggressive. I like them all but tough adjustments for age
July 9, 2021 at 8:49 am #166075It was bombs away for Nick Plummer whose three-home run night led Springfield to one of the #stlcards system’s two victories on Thursday. Peoria fell despite Michael YaSenka’s impressive mound effort. (free) https://t.co/0p0qKmLYbB pic.twitter.com/kuyAsm7hqF

ParticipantSeems so many both pitchers and hitters up a level higher than should be.
July 11, 2021 at 10:56 am #166237The pandemic year in 2020 with no minor leagues and maybe the MiLB rework probably contributed, but I wonder if its the same in other organizations. I know there are some injury issues also, but surely not just us.
July 11, 2021 at 12:02 pm #166246Seems so many both pitchers and hitters up a level higher than should be.
This is a fact.
July 11, 2021 at 12:15 pm #166248With the elimination of two short-season clubs, organizations have less flexibility re player movement than previously.
Used to be that player on the bottom end of the full-season demotion ‘dominoes’ could be re-assigned another lower-level club. Those options still exist but are are now severely curtailed.
Yes, it’s a situation of the organization’s own making but it’s a different minor league baseball world out there.
