With Burns from Australia and Giulianelli from Italy the Cards International signings are truly that, unusual that they not from the Caribbean or South America. Giulianelli and fellow 18 year Juan Peralta are pitching well for our FCL team.

So basically 0fer the system again second day in a row. It’s not like the low/mid levels are giving us hope or suggestive that change is far enough along to produce results at the top on less than a geologic time scale. Or is there something concrete that I am overlooking?

There’s nothing concrete. The one fluid note us that the team makeup is among the youngest in each league, or at least it was earlier in the year. It seems like the Cards are challenging their players at higher levels for age. Another thing to note is that the top level prospects, especially those with the bat, have performed pretty well.

Still, it’s been a big downer for results in the system this year, team wise.

Some guys hit well in Springfield so we will have to see if they can do it in AAA as well. Memphis is a bunch of .250 hitters.

I agree with the point but prefer OPS to BA. At .708, Memphis is 19th of 20 teams in their league. The Triple-A offense is far, far below league average this year. Yepez, Coulter and Capel have been the best, as was Nootbaar when there.
