Actually, Milb has Rondon pitching for Memphis, and I am looking forward to seeing him pitch.

Rondon penciled to start tonight for Memphis. Thompson to make his Triple-A and season debut tomorrow.

Good to see the young man crushing the ball already. I wish Palm Beach had TV.

Ludwin Jimenez started his stint at Palm Beach this year with 2 scoreless innings. He did give up 3 walks, but no hits and 2 Ks.

The affiliates are 4-12 so far, and Palm Beach has half the wins. That’s a pretty bad start, to say the least.

Coincidentally, I just got off the phone with a Cardinals official, who is enthused because the pitching so far has tracked to their program to get everyone ramped up.

Memphis’ record will depend on their pitching. Their lineup isn’t the scary one of years past. I wonder if Thompson’s pitch count is equal to Liberatores?

Small sample size, but Cuenca deserved better than the shoddy defense behind him provided. I hope he excels, and I get to see him at Peoria.

I know arguing over the 26th man is somewhat irrelevant but Jose Rondon should be in St. Louis. He had a pretty nice spring and now he continues to hit. I think he should be the backup to DeJong and Edman.

No one knows if Rondon would be an improvement over Sosa. Sosa is already on the 40-man which Rondon isn’t and Sosa is out of options. FO can live with him being here even if he doesn’t hit a lick. But I agree JRondon is moving up the depth chart. I think he is on the taxi squad so that is a plus for him.
