That Palm Beach lineup is getting more fun as they promote more guys there. A lot of young, upside guys in Padilla, Dos Santos, Hernandez, Mitchell.

Franklin pitched great last night. Peete hit for the cyccle. Jesus Baez is pounding the baseball. Gurevitch has set sail to be a top,prospect.

Clemente is someone Brian mentioned a few springs ago. He has a live arm apparently. He has 19 Ks in his last 9 2/3 innings.
Great to see Franklin and Doyle’s last starts. 17 Ks and ZERO walks. Peete has had a strong year for such a young player, he’s just got to stay healthy. Can’t wait to see these Peoria kids and others progress.
With Peoria winning the double header yesterday, all full season clubs are .500 or over at the moment. We will see if Peoria can win today to keep it that way.
Truthfully, I can’t see how Palm Beach can win any games at all. The rotation right now consists of the only opening day rotation guy, Crossland and he has been consistently shaky the last month or so. (Martinez-Odle and Van Dyke are now in the Peoria rotation and Young is still on the IL). Most recently, Dutkanych is slowly working up to starts 5+ innings. and they have Clarke and Henderson rehabbing and pitching 2 or 3 innings/start.
Gorman is 6 of his last 23 with 5 BBs and 4 HR’s. He had only 4 HR in his first 83 AAA ABs. Has he figured something out? If so, do you keep him and try him at 3B again in a little bit? It’s not like we have lots of good 3B options…
We will see if Peoria can win today to keep it that way(all full season teams .500 or better).
And win they did, Albert. 3-2 despite being outhit 11-3. Boutros Boutros Galle on in relief to scoop up the “W” and the bottom 3 in the lineup each registering rbi hits in a 3 run Peoria 5th.
Peoria almost blew it at the end. They brought on one of my under the radar faves in Ruben Menes for the save and he gave up a single and double to lead off the bottom of the ninth putting runners at second and third with no one out in a one-run game. He managed to close it out and strand those two runners after that and secure the win.
That guy sounds promising for the STL closer role. He’s got the traffic part down, but you can’t always count on them to get hits. He can come in and walk guys I hope.
