I think Hernandez was overshadowed by Dos Santos. He has 9 homers now. Also, Hunter and Strop have i proved. I noticed young hurlers Beltran and Rodriguez for our DSL team had a nice line today of 6 innings combined, 3 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks and 11 Ks. Beltran is 17, and a terrible era, but also has 27 strikeouts in 17 plus innings. His 17 walks are way too many, but if he Can have more outings like today he might be a prospect to watch.

I don’t remember our farm system having so many players with large homer totals. You start with the struggling Josh Baez who has 29 taters. Jesus Baez has 22, Gurevitch with 19, Cho has 10 plus homers in his short time at Springfield. Richardson has muscled up this year also.

With over a month to go in the season, Peoria has already set a new team single-season home run record. Not coincidentally, Jesus Baez, Gurevitch, Cho and Richardson were major contributors.

HR totals are up in all the AA and below levels according to BA research from a late May and the suspected reason is an unintentional change to the ball resulting in a different drag coefficient

Last night, Palm Beach also set a new team single-season home run record.

I’m anxious to see if Jesus Baez can pick it at third base and throw the runner out at first base.

Quinn has absolutely turned it around. Fingers crossed something happens at the deadline to free up a rotation spot for him.

A+ and higher all had good pitching performances. Here is interesting that he throws no hit outings fairly frequently, but so short. Hopefully they actually let him pitch deeper as the baby him approach 2 years ago didn’t work.

Maybe some time on the development list will do wonders for Levenson like it did with Baez

Dancing a guy up through the system with a carefully curated work load and expecting him to emerge able to handle the workload holding down a rotation slot makes no sense in the real world. They should sort for durability early on. They get all googly eyed over what a guy does in stints in between blowing up and lose sight of reality. They are going to end up with the durable guys anyway.

I wonder what happened to Urias? He came out of the Memphis after 1 at bat?

Rincon pitched a strong 2 innings yesterday. He struck out 5 of 6 batters faced.

It’s incredible how many prospects we have who are among league leaders in homers. The Baez’, Gurevitch, Pena has flown under the radar with numbers at Palm Beach with 15 homers.

I am not sure why he came out. Hopefully it is not another setback. I feel for the guy. I have had tennis elbow in each arm and it is a rather painful experience and takes a long time to heal properly.

I did see that Urias was HBP in his first at bat! Wonder he might have been re-injured?

Yeah, I think Urias got hit in the elbow. I was watching that game and he was really hurting right after he got hit. He stayed in to run, but was out the next inning.
