Most of the media is pro Ollie, but one criticism has been that he allows players to try to play through injuries. I have seen stories that Weatherholt played through a hand injury a good portion of the second half and was not put on the injury laist until September or late August. The result a bad second half and probable loss of Rookie of the Year (maybe already named) and a early draft pick.

From what I have read Winn, Walker and Burleson were playing with injuries late in the season. Could be why we had such a bad September.

With modern technology with complete information about exit velocities and bat speed I woulld think a manager should have a pretty good idea when a player is not fit to play.

I think the most likely prospects to graduate in ‘27 are Hjerpe, Bernal, Roby and Santana. If Roby can stay healthy he should be in our rotation, but I don’t know what will be his innings limit. Hjerpe will also be limited. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see largely the same rotation as the end of ‘26. Liberatore may be given one more chance while the prospects pitch at Memphis. I guess Hjerpe and Roby are already graduated, but I guess I am saying they will impact the team in 2027. This is assuming there is a season next year.
