Ratsbuddy is right. NA hits many loud fouls. Have you noticed that when he has two strikes on him, the next pitch is quite often six inches off the ground and above the chalk in the left hand batters box. Having said that, it would be impossible to replace his incredible defense at third base.

The same can be said for Goldy and any other player living. Poppycock. He hit .355 last year with 2 outs and runners in scoring position. Hitting .263 this year.

BR has Arenado at 4.8 position player war, 1st in mlb, tied with Goldy. You know, Total Value.

Fangraphs has Arenado 3rd and Goldy 5th (mlb).

BP has Arenado tied for 3rd with Goldy, Betts and Soto (mlb).

So if you are in the camp that wants Arenado to opt out, careful what you wish for, Arenado is easily a top 5 player this season.

I hope and pray he does not opt out. I just want him to quit failing in so many situations like he has this year.

And if we trade for Soto then I assume that pretty much guarantees Arenado will NOT opt out. That would be quite the 2-3-4 in Soto, Goldschmidt, then Arenado.

Arenado does have a .293 BA this season, .288 career. I’m sure that you noticed that. He should have plenty of appeal to the BA crowd.
