    Sorry to hear about DGonzalez. At one point his ceiling was considered pretty high by this organization. Man, just 25, very sad.

    RIP Derian. He was one of the group of special pitchers that I had hoped would all reach St Louis. Along with Helsley, Fernandez, and Woodford, who did make the big show, I thought Gonzalez might make it at least as a reliever. They all pitched together at Peoria, and I enjoyed that year immensely.

    So said. It’s tough to hear when we lose an older guy, but to be cut down before you really had a chance to live a life is tragic.
