I also wanted some opinions on Ixan Henderson, he was a borderline top 10 prospect last season. Obviously his stats look quite poor this season, but he pitched just 13.2 innings and dealt with injury. I feel like people are writing him off even moreso than the other injury guys. I’d like to know if anyone has any insights or strong feelings about Henderson as a prospect at this point.

not sure what surgery Ixan had on his Elbow in early September, but it was in regards to his earlier Flexor Strain from Spring. Chances are he’s cooked for 2027 regardless of the procedure.

That entire Rotation from 2025 Springfield hit a wall the following year… Mautz, Henderson, Hansen, Lin. Really sad.

I always thought Ixan would end up as a lefty reliever. These injuries have even more cemented that likelihood. He was on a trajectory to potentially make it as a starter though with his numbers last season.

The good news about Henderson is his health problem seems limited to his elbow. The bad news is we don’t know if the damage was made worse trying to come back after rest rather than getting it fixed. IMO, he probably had TJ surgery, possibly with extra work on the flexor tendon side of the elbow. He would be out for the 2027 season. In the usual TJ case, there is a good chance the pitcher could be good as new, but not usually as soon as he gets back in game action. In his case, well into the 2028 season. We don’t know if he had TJ or how usual it was, so its a dart throw. He will likely have a chance to show what he’s got in AAA. I have him near 30 on my list.

Clarke I put in the mid 20s, figuring he will be ready for ST, whenever that is. Obviously, it should surprise no one if he doesn’t even make it through ST. I still have hope for him though, but they should get him to MLB ASAP before he disintegrates, similar to Roby.

A lot of guys look good in low A and Padilla is probably one of them. He hasn’t been on the field enough to know anything. If his teenage body can’t take it, his 20 something body probably won’t either. He is in the group that didn’t make my top 30 but will go on my list somewhere.

I feel like I know nothing about Ragsdale. I see his batting line dropped off considerably after the trade. Any thoughts on that?

If the rotation stays in tact, then Molina is probably the ninth or tenth starter if he is still ascending. This makes the pen a much more likely pathway to contributing. In that regard, Santana seems more likely to get late inning work. I see Molina getting a Mautz-type role.
I wish I had a better read on Ragsdale. He just failed the eye test so profoundly. He was so impressive from a pre-trade stat and purported tools perspective. Luna seems only a slight reach here and Padilla recieved the prioity play when he was on the same field as SDS and Hernandez. I swear Deniel Ortiz was blossoming just as he got hurt at the season’s end.

17.Molina. With all the hype he’s been given and his fast progress to AAA, you’d think he’d be higher. Is this another embarrassment of riches?

    18. Kuhns. In days gone by this kid would have easily been top 10, or better. Or whomever scouted him would be berated.
