There sure won’t be. Musial was just a shade before my time, but as a Cardinal fan I was able to watch the greatest and most dangerous hitter in the game day in and day out for a very long time. His name will reside in the pantheon of an extremely exclusive few who are genuinely the greatest Big League baseball players of all time. Albert Pujols was a monster of a player who seemed to impact the outcome of a game every time he stood in the batter’s box. Heck, he had an enormous impact while lacing up his cleats in the clubhouse in the sense that opposing managers and pitchers were contemplating the mayhem and havoc that was about to ensue.
September 15, 2026 at 3:21 pm #318947I’ve learned to “never say never”, but then his accomplishments are something very few ever do.
My Cardinal “Mount Rushmore”, and probably most if we took a poll, are:
Rogers Hornsby – our first superstar who even managed our first World Championship club while doubling as the second sacker.
Stan Musial – all time Cardinal leader in most every offensive category.
Bob Gibson – one the greatest big game pitchers of all-time and far and away our greatest moundsman.
Albert Pujols – perhaps the greatest 21st century player thus far. A 10-year sojourn to Southern California interrupted what might have become the greatest Redbird ever’s career with the birds on bat uniform.

ParticipantI think team hofs are def different than regular hall. I dont have a problem with fan favorites getting in. Someone mentioned taguchi, my son would second that in a hearbeat. Id have zero problem with eckstein, herr, big george, or oberkfell. You should be able to have fun with the team hall,no one really cares what their stats were.
September 15, 2026 at 4:36 pm #318963I just checked and Tommy’s in there, Willie. Rightfully so in my view.
