KCB, I think (hope) he is talking about Mo.
January 19, 2025 at 1:37 pm #275094Mr. Forsch, that’s the way I took it. And if he does think I’m dense, oh well, lol.
January 19, 2025 at 3:41 pm #275114bling asked:
What do you make of the attendance Brian? With temps headed to single digits for a few days its only going to get worse.
I didn’t get around a lot until today. My impression is that attendance is down substantially.
January 19, 2025 at 3:43 pm #275116Getting started posting today’s content, with much more to come…

You are a better man than me. But I dont think I’m wrong. He was supporting Mo.

Thanks Brian. I needed something to do at work tomorrow.

If so, oh well. Thanks for asking for civility!

I ignore peoples views who are insulting. You can have strong opinions without being belligerent towards those who have a different way of looking at it. In fact in a civil discussion, you might just make me change my mind and bring me over to your side.

jj-cf-stlParticipantI thought McGreevey’s interview stole the show! When he was explaining Matthews end of seasons mental melt down, it was hilarious!

jj-cf-stlParticipantMany of the players spoke of Gray and Contreras highly, as leaders guiding the clubhouse and some also pointed out Donny already leading by example.
Listening to the players I may have started to get “warmed up” for some baseball…..

I’m ready JJ. It won’t take much to pull me in.

jj-cf-stlParticipantWas nice to hear Contreras answers. Between catcher-gate and a broken arm, it was a tough first two seasons.
January 21, 2025 at 5:12 pm #275221I know it has to be getting close to spring training. I can squint and see how the Cardinals could be the division winner.
Gorman and Walker return to 2023 hitting performance. Winn takes another step forward. Arenado rebounds. Contreras continues to hit. Donovan and Burleson hit. Noot stays healthy. Mikolas either pitches decent or is cut loose. A rotation of Gray, Fedde, Pallante, McGreevy and ??? proves to be good. Matthews stepping up if Fedde gets traded. Simple.
January 21, 2025 at 5:59 pm #275223Hope springs eternal and it’s baseball, so anything can happen. At any rate, the Redbirds will be in first place on 3/27/25 and as long as they emerge victorious over the Twins, they’ll still be in first place the following day. Did I say, “The Twins?”…Yep, anything can happen…

jj-cf-stlParticipantHaven’t pencil a lineup lately, but it won’t be long now.
January 21, 2025 at 8:56 pm #275228Brian thanks a lot for collecting all of this audio. It will take some time to get through all of it, although I’ve listened to a good amount far. Jordan’s interview was interesting and actually gives me hope. It sounds like the new hitting coach and Walker are working very well together and it is good to hear he is going back to his tendencies that worked much better in 2023 with slight tweaks.
Quinn’s interview was also entertaining. He sounds like a very interesting guy in general and I like his mindset a lot as it sounds like he is always looking to improve and doesn’t accept even single performances that aren’t great. Interesting to hear him talk about losing steam at the end of the year in Memphis. I expect he will be good for 160 IP this year as he ramps up another 20 IP and has learned the tolls of a full season length and how to prep for it now.
January 21, 2025 at 9:37 pm #275230I really enjoyed your interview with Rob Cerfolio as well. I look forward to seeing the changes he and others will bring to the org over the next few years. I’m glad to see we have hired many more coordinators to help guide player development and am curious what type of talent the org can bring in personnel wise in the next offseason with more open hiring.
January 22, 2025 at 10:24 am #275243Thank you for the comments. It is a lot of work at WWU, but a lot of fun, too. I could live without the sub-zero wind chills, though. It is great to be back in Florida now!
Regarding the lineup, there was not a single question asked to Marmol about that. Given the uncertainty of Arenado, he probably doesn’t know himself.
I wish I had even more time with Cerfolio, but it was a good start. A lot of new people to meet this spring…
