    That’s right Bling. I wonder if he’s beginning to tire some since he’s never had to throw innings like he’s throwing now. The Cardinals took a gamble with their soft approach to his early years. The upside is that he doesn’t end up like Alex Reyes. The downside has always been will he have enough stamina and can he learn to have enough control without all those extra innings pitched.

    I do not agree with the approach that spends a couple years developing a guy as a starter and then see if he can even be a starter due to the work load. I do not think it’s the innings that blow out arms. It’s making them do a few ticks more velo than their arm can tolerate. Many successful pitchers are below 95. It can be done. But not by the Cardinals pitcher development methodologies.
