    I think he is piggybacking. Last time through the rotation, Cornwell followed Rajcic’s day and Bedell pitched in relief. This time, Rajcic pitched last night and Bedell is starting (tonight). I expect Cornwell to work in long relief of Bedell, but we will see. Hence starts Sunday.

    Yeah, seeing Bedell listed after Rajcic is what made me wonder about Cornwell. Of course, now that Mathews is fading 😉 some of the pressure is off upstream.

    Gagliano – I know it. After I posted the above he came out and put a couple runners on with one out. Then he got lifted and the reliever that was brought in allowed one of those runners to score. So yeah, his ERA is ballooning up! He didn’t strike out as many this time around either. Maybe he needs an extra day off this next time around the rotation.
