Walker with a drive off the top of the wall. This winter they need to send him out some where that can stick electrodes all over him and get that lauch angle dialed in.

Arenado with a dong, 4-0. I hope we weren’t thinking of trading for this chump.

I’ve heard the “launch angle” term for quite a while now and while the phrase sounds really neat and is also self explanatory, I really have no idea how they measure or even determine what a hitter’s launch angle is. I’m also reasonably certain that a launch angle is not near as important as is whether or not the baseball falls in for a base hit or clears the OF wall for a HR. At any rate, like I mentioned, launch angle sounds really neat and conjures up images of rockets, missles and high performance fighter jets, so I’m all in with the term, launch angle…

Two times through the order, only PDJ does not have a hit yet.

Always tough when you get a hit and your OPS drops

Although it’s only the 3rd inning, and don’t ask me why, but for some odd and peculiar reason I feel reasonably comfortable with a 5 run lead and Montgomery in charge of the pitching duties. It has a genuinely nostalgic feel to it that I haven’t experienced for quite some time. I’ll also say that if the Redbirds lose this game, I won’t feel guilty for having jinxed it because I waited to post this comment until the no-no was no longer possible…

Our pen never saw a lead they couldn’t blow.

If Montgomery can pitch 7 innings, and we can tack on 3 more runs before the bullpen enters the game, then I’ll feel comfortable.

Yeah, I guess you guys are right. Mrs. 1TD has at times accused me of being the scared little boy who’s whistling in the dark…Haha!

Have finally run into a team worse that we are.

Herrera having himself a real nice debut.

Well this stinks, Monty out with an injury.

I wasn’t aware that Elvis Andrus was playing anymore and seeing him reminded me of him being a pain in the backside in the ’11 WS. I just looked him up and he’s had a pretty long career in which he’s collected over 2000 hits.

What a revolting development this is. Montgomery leaves and won’t get the win. With our bullpen, the team may not get the win. JoJo coming on.

I’ve got the sound muted. Did they say anything indicating what might be the problem with Montgomery?

Whoa, fantastic play by Arenado! He is really something – probably our MVP so far this year.

On Monty, Thompson said it looked like he might have pulled a hamstring.

This is a bad team with bad luck.

With two strikes Herrera was swinging for a 5 run homer. Hate to see that.

The Babe is having a rough one in the field here in the sixth. Bad throw, dropped DP toss from Arenado.

Yeah, the 5 run homer’s out of the question, but I’ve always been an advocate of implementing a 5 bagger rule which would allow the hitter to cross HP and then continue on to 1B and remain there to be a legal baserunner in the event he entirely destroyed one in the manner of Pujols/Lidge. He’d also be credited with 5 TB’s after annihilating the baseball with that sort of gargantuan tater shot…That rule could very well be forthcoming in the not too distant future.

Sox making some noise. Shabby defense opened the door just a bit.

Bling, how true. Happening before our eyes, again.
