Good game by all today. Huge advantage when the starter goes 6+. Hope Mikolas is on his game tomorrow.
I see Marmol has gone back to the pullover vs. birds-on-the-bat Jersey. I thought he had made a commitment to wear the player’s uniform on the first game of every series? Maybe I missed something.
I would like to know how it is that Hicks can suddenly throw strikes at will. I keep expecting him to revert to the Hicks we we know so well. It is not only him, the pitching generally has gotten better lately. Not everyone and not all the time, but we are geting more good performances. Walks by the pen seems way down lately, but I haven’t actually figured up the numbers.
Its hard to win when the first two in the lineup go Ofer with 5 Ks. This win was mostly about the pitching. Its weird to be saying that. Weird but good.
